Mexico City, Day 2
Hello everybody!
On our second day, we started by going to the magnificent Museo Nacional de Antropología (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museo_Nacional_de_Antropolog%C3%ADa_(M%C3%A9xico)).
The museum is beautiful, it seems no expense has been spared. We stayed for 3 hours and learned a lot about the rich cultural heritage of Mexican history, before the Spanish arrived.
The Museum is on the edge of Chapultepec park (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapultepec). This is a huge, forest like park with wonderful large trees, but not much undergrowth. There are several ponds, grassy areas and so on. Chapultepec has a castle and nine (!!!) museums. On this day, there was a huge market and thousands of people enjoying food, ice cream, cotton candy, trinkets, cuddly animals and going to the zoo. A really popular place for the whole family!
The most popular toy this year seemed to be a monkey with long legs, which people attach to their heads. Most of the photos today are of this phenomenon. I found it fascinating, even adults with no kids accompanying them had them!
After 3 hours in the park, our legs were done for the day and we found a taxi back to the hotel.
Be well!

When I'm on my travels, i sometimes blog here
I've always liked to travel and have taken a lot of photos when I do. Since 2010, I've travelled extensively and combined my longing to discover the world with a growing passion for street photography.
My old photo blog was written between 2013 and 18. Beware, it's in Swedish and has 776 episodes.
